I am honored to write this testimonial for a gifted doula and special person in my family's life. Working with heather was very important for my pregnancy as she brought a wealth of resources and knowledge that helped my husband and me make important decisions for my son's birth. She really listened to us to help us navigate the often-overwhelming process of preparing for baby. When my water broke early in the morning, heather supported my peaceful early labor at home and helped us easefully navigate the transition to the hospital. She created a partnership with our nurses and doctors, gave amazing hip squeezes through labor, kept my spirits up when things got tough, and was instrumental in repositioning me to help my son shift out of a posterior position when he threw us a curveball. Birth is an unpredictable journey but i believe that heather played a huge role in my ability to have the unmedicated birth i hoped for. Additionally, her postpartum support was just as important. From helping me with baby wearing, to making sure i had lunch, and even teaching me how to give baby his first bath, heather set me up to feel confident as a first-time mom. my wish for all families is to have a doula like heather for their births. don't hesitate, hire heather.
